We have a local lake/beach I wouldnt let my dog, kids or myself get in it. So much bacteria. But I would be more comfortable w/a pool w/chlorine. Most people that would have a sick dog they are not caring for are probably not going to pay for them to go anywhere. But people like that will go to the local lake (free of charge)& let their dogs & sick kids in, or them w/their questionable sores & dirty bodies, ewww, plus I have heard of people pooping & peeing in the lake-yuck. My cousins use to go to the lake-had constant bladder, kidney infections, always had strep, stomach viruses & fevers and they would talk about seeing poop floating in it. I would feel safer at a clean pool where you can at least see a turd in the water...I'm gagging now, ewww
