There is nothing wrong with a pity party..just don't stay long! Been to a few myself.
Is it possible to do what I did some years ago. I spoke to the local vets and told them I was willing to take in a toy rescue from time to time...several vets contacted me with rescues. They checked them out first and made sure there were not contagious.
