The way I got him to go all the time was to promise him a "potty party" once he could prove to me he could & would go to the potty each time. Of course he still had the occasional accident, but a few weeks later we were able to have our party. He got to go pick out the invitations, decorations, and his cake. We had a small potty party here at my house for him. We had the grandparents over & a few friends and that was enough for him. He was so excited about getting a special party just for his accomplishment. Everyone also gave him a small present & he was thrilled.
Now I have told my daughter that when she gets 3 we will have to work harder at going potty so she can have her own potty party too.
Please don't laugh at the potty party idea. For my son it did work, hopefully I'll be planning one for my daughter soon too!
Good luck!
