I firmly believe when they are not ready they are not ready and it just causes so much more work and frustration for the both of you. If it were me I would give her 6 months then try again. 6 months can add so much more to their maturity level. Each one will be different. Just because the first did so quickly does not mean that this one is ready at the same age. You can not compare the two or it will drive you nuts
