i give all my adult dogs some egg every day. The showw breeder I got Silk from ( shows, maltese, yorkies and poodles) gave me a boiled egg, can of ceser's and a bag of dry food when i picked her up. I asked why the egg and she said it is good for theeir coats. So, even tho I don't show or anything, I have always done it. didn't want to change silk's diet and felt it wasn't fair to give it to her and not the others. SO, what i do now is boil six eggs, put them in the food processor, put them in tupperwware in the fridge. When I give them breakfast, I add about a teaspoon of egg to each plate. They love it. i don't know if it helps their coats or not. i don't see any difference. but is is good protein for them.
