My cousin used special toys when he went. he was pottytrained by 2 1/2. She would by little things, like books, cars, and he would have the potty basket. If he went he got to take something out of the basket. I had to get a basket at my house and he would ask to come to my house and go potty because I had the good prizes. She never gave him candy and sometimes he would get some m&m's or somethng like that. it worked for her.
