This aggravates me too. I had been using a Loreal makeup that had the pump top. I would break the seal on the plastic cap and use a plastic knife to scoop out the remainder. There was probably 15% of the product still in the bottle, now that is too much to waste!!
Another one is the hand pump spray bottles, the spray mechanism always seems to stop working
