People will try to sell CKC (Continental) for the same price as AKC. However, the registry is not looked upon in a good light. Many people that have been suspended from AKC will register CKC. Also, CKC is not as strict as the AKC. If I'm not mistaken, I read somewhere where they were registering mixed breeds simply because both parents (different breeds) were AKC.
