HERE THE UPDATE CONNIE LEFT ME:

Hi Denise,

We finally got mom home from the hospital today and she's so weak we had to get Darrel to help get her into the house. I talked to the surgeon yesterday that put her porta cath in. I told him how arrogent and rude the oncologist is and that we have enough to deal with than to be treated like crap by that buttface. He said he would call and talk to him. Then Mom worried that he would be meaner now because I had said something. Since then, we decided we don't want him and screw it. We will be taking her to another oncologist one week from Friday. I don't know, Denise. Judy and I are exhausted. I came home last night and slept for the first time in days and I got up this morn and feel worse since I got sleep. I did much better with no sleep. I'm just dragging butt today.

The hospital is the most pathetic excuse for a hospital I've ever seen. Judy and I were going to take mom home today whether we had discharge papers or not. They've started this deal where you don't see your own doc in the hospitla, but a hospitalist...a guy whose sposed to take care of the patients in hospital. Mom was there from 7:00 Monday morn til this morn at 10 and never once did he come see her. He tried to blame it on the nurses, but it comes down to he just isn't doing his job. Poor mom has been thru so much and Judy and I don't know which end is up any more. We really don't know how we are going to manage. Right now 2 of us need to be there and she's alone now, so I better get back there. They still don't know where all this cancer is coming from. Judy and I are sick at the thought of her having chemo.
