Duffy used to bark and whimper (whine) if I left him in his pen. I got an empty water bottle and put some marbles in it. When he started the crying /barking routine I went back in and shook the bottle really hard about a foot from his face and said NO. I only had to do this 2 times. He is a quiet boy now! Good luck!
