I really doubt that it was a bad batch because that food is manufactured in small quantities and doesn't really get a chance to get old and stale, but you never know, things do go wrong.

But, my daughter's smallest chi...she's 1lb 12oz full grown...did throw up a bit in the beginning after she switched her food, as did the shihtzu. However, I told my daughter I didn't think it was the food because it's now several months down the road since her dogs have been using it and occasionally they'll throw up. I told her I think it's from whatever little furry dustballs and junk they find on her floors...a hint for her to clean up a little!
