The puppy's tail was docked this last Saturday. The vet said we really didn't have to do much in order to care for it. My problem is (some of you are familiar) the mommy isn't licking her so she can go potty. I am doing that with a cotton ball...but the puppy's tail seems sore...and it looks like she is pooping by herself because she does have some stuck on the tail itself. I don't want it to get infected but it is really stuck on there... I don't want to hurt her either. Any suggestions? She is a week old as of yesterday.

Also one more question when are they able to go potty without stimulation. Because it seems she is doing it on her own occasionally. Thanks in advance!
