It works - I swear. You want to hold it just enough that they take a quick breath with their mouth - it's like they get frozen up and can't stop it....
there was a little dog in Petsmart last time I was there that started doing it in the checkout line - I knelt down and held his little nose and he stopped immediately - his mom was standing there with her mouth hanging open and said he usually doesn't stop for like 5 full minutes and from now on - she was going to do that herself - so it DOES work
