Chachi was neutered at 7 months. He did just fine with the neutering we had more trouble keeping him calm and quiet after the surgery. You might want to ask your vet about his pulling any retained teeth while he is under. I also had Chachi microchiipped at that time. You might want to ask for pain meds. Some vets give them but some you have to ask for them. They cant be bathed for 10 days and they can only go outside to go potty. You want to keep him from jumping and I didnt let Chachi climb any stairs. Oh and I about forgot before the neuter you want to get bloodwork done on him so they can check and make sure he doesnt have any underlining condition that putting him under anesthia could possibly risk his life.
