We bred Abby three days in a row and then she wouldn't stand for the male anymore, so I brought her home. At first she seemed pregnant, morning sickness, wanting to be with me all the time, and sleeping, but then she never really got big, did put on some weight as she was able to eat freely, where as before I fed her only 2 times as day. She never really seemed to be starving, which should have been my first clue. I did not have a smear done before breeding. The smear you are refering to, is it for fertility or for detecting infection?
