I think that you can do it as long as you're willing to put the time and effort into everything owning a dog takes. I'm home full time with three puppies and find it challenging... and my life has changed a lot. I can't go out whenever I want, I can't stay out for long periods of time without arrangements for my dogs, I can't travel as much. Also, they are ALWAYS more expensive to care for than you think they are... so that is another thing to take into account. I've had to put off buying things for myself to put towards vet care, grooming, things they need. I'm NOT saying this to scare you at all, or to try to get you to not get a puppy.. I'm just being honest. These sacrifices are ones that I've been happy to make because I get so much joy from having my dogs. They have really made me so happy and made my life whole. I just think you should really consider the long term commitment that these little lives are and then just honestly see if you can handle that Good luck w/your decision!!
