I'm home all day now with my daughter and dogs, but when I worked and first got my chihuahuas, they stayed in a play pen during the day that had a pee pad on one side and a blanket with a few toys on the other. They did great. I think a lot of members here do that with their yorkies during the day, so I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to do the same. It sounds like you're doing a lot of research.
