We did a big move like that about 7 years ago and it was very confusing for our Pepper (3 levels and too many rooms to manuever). He was absolutely terrified of the basement stairs. He'd stand at the top lean in the doorway and that was it unless you carried him down. Also, I would suggest giving him an area were the family congregates (kitchen family room) and he is close and not left out, and I would train to go outside asap or accidents wil become more frequent and in dozens of different places. Plus he'll learn poddy is done outside now and nowhere else. But supervised even if you have a fence. Especially if you have preditory birds and your baby is tiny. That's my experience and 2 cents worth. |
