Emma goes in spurts of who she likes better-but she does switch back and forth between me and my husband. I am the nurturer, the one that feeds her and grooms her, while he is the one that plays and "wrestles" with her, and also is the "more scary" disciplinarian. (I think she's scared of his "you're in trouble" voice, it's so much deeper than mine!)
She sleeps next to my hip all night, and wakes me when she needs food or to potty. Emma will run to me when she's scared or hurt, but likes to test me sometimes too. She rarely tests my husband, and loves to cuddle with him in the evenings. She will not go potty if he's watching, but will go in front of me without any issue.
I think this is the "balance" she's decided she needs between us. Sometimes she likes him more, and sometimes me. I think it's ok-it's just like kids wanting Mommy or Daddy more in phases. I'm sure your little guy will come around, he's probably just in a "Daddy" stage right now. |
