Thanks everyone, NO we never set out to do this. lol Its just we cant seem to say no. some of these animals paople would ask us to take in and some we would just see dumpped on the road , theres no way we could just drive by and keep driving. No we would stop for each one, But just to see the love in their eyes , They know you did this for them and their eyes show it. Some of these animals are still around and we see them them quite often, some was placed in homes and the new owners would move and we would lose touch , some have died now, but we know we did what we could and madetheir lives a little better. some we took in our selfs and we still have one of them. My daughter still has the 2 kissing cats that our brothers. My Aunt still has one of the dogs also. My friemd still has the Husky that was covered in lice, That was the only reason that poor little doggy was dumped on a country road ,out on a busy Route. Hes a beautiful dog now and is 6 years old. I was on my way to work when I found him, took him to work with me had the guard keep him in his guard shack until noon and left early from work to care for him. The red doberman was 2 years old when we took her in ,lived 13 years then had a heart attack. we never made a bussiness of it or anything so we asked for no help . it just seemed like we would help one out and when that one was rehomed there would be another then another so we pretty much did this all our lives.I think people know this and thats why we get so many drop offs, They know we will take them in. and its so sad. and people like this make me so mad. what we dont get the dog pound dose. A man just found a garbage bag on the side of the road with a whole litter of puppies in it, They are now at the dog pound looking for homes. I have a bad arm and a very bad back and I cant get around like I use to, Hubby works so many hours now that I cant work , so we dont take in animals like we use to. But we still try and do what we can for them. I think thats why it hurt so bad when I changed my mind about taking Gwen cause I know if I did she would be here with us forever and like Hubby said can I give her the 100% she needs. I still regret not taking her in. But it helps to know that YT has found her a wonderful home.
