 Think my dog has got Diabeties
We have a 12 year old yorkie bitch called Lucy. Over the last couple of months she's lost alot of weight and has been drinking lots of water and urinating in the house ( something she has never ever done before ). We just thought it was old age because her appetite is good. Its only this morning that we relised something was wrong because Lucy fell down our stairs and when we checked to see if she was okay we noticed she was going blind as her pupils where a whitey blue colour , ive looked on the internet today and seen that these are the signs of diabeties. Im absolutely gutted because I should have known this earlier due to seeing her go worse. Im taking her to the vets 1st thing in the morning. Ive read up about diabeties today and it seems a dog can live a normal life with 2 injections a day , do you think her sight could get better once we get insulin into her.
Im now feeling really gilty because I should of done something earlier
