Free Feed is when you put it down and let them eat at their own time. Like snacking all day. Seperation of the Mama and Babies during the day was only a suggestion. Maggie's breeder does it that way when the babies are eating solid food. She said it helps wean the babies and get the MaMa some much needed rest from all the babies pulling her down. If they are not eating solids that well, then it would not be a good idea.
