I have an attention seeker too. When I goo to pet or love on Chachi she gets up iin front of him and pushes him out of the way just like you describe. She hasnt growled at him except one time when he jumped up to lay down beside me when she was laying down beside me. When she does push Chachi out of the way I tell her no and get Chachi and give him some attention. It hasnt stoped the behavior so I am interested in the responses you get but i dont think you have a mean dog just an attention seeker. Maybe she was better suited in a house with no other dogs. Thats what I thought about Jewels.
