i second that. the vet i used to work for did this surgery once and it was a last resort. The pug is fine now and doesn't have any problems, but there can be side effects if not done properly. I would try everything else possible before resorting to this method. AND make sure your vet is very familiar with teh procedure. My vet had gone to a seminar to learn more about it before she did the surgery.
