Yes, sometimes you are exactly right!!!
We teachers know that!
But, I teach doctoral students and they are less likely to be wasting time than the undergrads - but they too, get on the internet, check email, etc.
The trick is to get up and walk around the classroom - behind them. They quickly shut the windows they don't want me to see and go back to note taking!
