i would get an xray if you have insurance that covers it.
i'm not sure that yorkies have too much problems with the front legs by hereditary ways....
my tiggy was recently diagnosed with Leggs-Perthes which targets the hips. She is scheduled for surgurey next week. Luxating Patella is another condition of the knee caps.
dogs don't have knee caps in front right?
if you can take a quick xray of the front, i don't think you need sedation if xraying the front.....
