 "Where is Mya?"
My husband reminded me that I don't have to take Mya EVERYWHERE.
He was scared when I told him (last week) I was at a dollar store and heard " You distract her and I will grab it" I was thinking, Who the hell would want to steal anything from a dollar store? I quickly figure it was Mya they were talking about. She was in the baby seat of the buggy. The woman quipped "It is too small" I had her in a large purse instead of her usual carry bag. If they did not look so scary looking I would of reamed them out. Instead I gave them the look that makes the children and the husband run *grin* Anyway today I took Mya to my Doctor's office as I usually do and then to the mall. I bought a stroller at Walmart for, get this, $12.00. It is an umbroller stroller and I simply unscrewed the screws that holds the seat in and removed the seat. Mya's carry bag fits perfectly in the frame. So we caused even more attention at the mall with her being in the stroller. Which is good because I want her to socialized to be a therapy dog.
We met friends, and my in laws who passed her around to all their friends (Mya was soooo happy), then went visiting and got home four hours later. Mya is loosing teeth and so I left her at home in the cool air conditioning, sleeping in her bed in her cage when I went for my 8th Dental appointment (don't ask....lol) Anyway.....the staff of 10 at the office were REALLY bummed out that she was not there.... all 10 of them asked "Where is Mya????" They were so bummed out that she was there. That experience at the Dollar Store almost made me want to keep her locked up at home but hearing today how happy she makes people made me realize that I should not make one bad experience ruin it for Mya, Myself and everyone that loves her. |
