Summer is here in NZ. and i am soo lucky where I live has tonnes of native trees growing round it and I have a resident tui. (the Tui is a type of bird found only in NZ) I wake every morning to the lovely sound of his song.
So I thought I would share it all with you. I am in dial up hell and this took TWO HOURS to upload! So you must all go and see it.

Sorry about the wind noise but you can still hear the tui's calls very clearly.
I've also attached a picture of the flowering pohutakawa by my deck. This is another NZ endemic species and it's also called the NZ Christmas tree because it comes out in a riot of red flowers at Christmas time - if it's warm enough - this year they were a little late.
