| Oh my! Her coat won't grow! Hi guys!
My name is Whitney and i'm a new member to this community. This is actually my first time posting. I desparately need some help. I'm in a worldwind and I have no idea what the problem is. Here goes nothing ...
I have a wonderful Yorkie and her name is Zoey. She was born November 21st , 2005 which makes her 1 year and 2 months old. She's the most loving dog I have ever come across and I adore her to peices (especially her floppy ears) but i'm having a bit of a problem.
From what I know , she's a silky Yorkie. Her coat is straight but the texture of it just doesn't seem right. It's pretty scanty and not truly silky like a silky Yorkie should be. For example when I say scanty , if I were to lift her hair up , it stays in that position. It doesn't have any body and bounce. It's definately not flowy. If you were to lift a another Yorkies hair up and it was silky , the hair would fall back down. I don't know what the problem is. I'm killing myself trying to figure out if it supposed to be like that and will straighten out on it's on and if i'm doing something wrong.
The next problem i'm having is with her coat length. It won't grow! It's been the same length since she was about 7 months old and I don't understand why. I thought that it would be the diet that she's on. Right now , she eats Pedigree Complete Nutrition w/ Healthy Nuggets (the meaty center). She absolutely loves it! It's been months and it's still the same way!
I really need some help. I attached some pictures. The one where she's on the bed is when she was about 5 months old. The picture where she's looking out the door is the most recent picture I have of her. That picture is about 2 months old (her coat looked a bit wavy but it's actually straight). Honestly , I can't tell the difference in her coat length in the picture where she was 5 months old and the more recent picture. Only difference I can spot is where her hair has grown out a bit at the top. Any answers on suggestions will be much appreciated. Thanks! |
