Travers fell off my lap the day before yesterday (Thursday) when he wriggled trying to get away as I was spraying his teeth. Unfortunately he landed on his back on one of the spokes of my office chair. He yelped real loud and I thought the worst
(broken back). But he could still walk, was just limping and holding his right front leg up. So I kept him crated the rest of the day (except when I carried him to go potty) and took him to the vet yesterday. The vet said that it was good that I just kept him in his crate so he couldn't do anymore damage. It ended up he hurt his shoulder so the vet gave him an antiinflammatory/pain medication and told me to keep him crated until Monday. If he's not better by then he said to take him back for x-rays to make sure he didn't break anything. Luckily he is doing LOTS better, just a little bit of a limp. So, hopefully he won't need the x-rays. But I will continue the medicine and crate rest.
My advice would be to keep Zsa Zsa crated until you see the vet and then see what the vet says. Hopefully it is just a soft tissue injury and not a fracture.
