I was told the 6 hrs was because they had to test her at different times and doing different things to really understand why and when she has the faster beating heart. The charge for the 6 hrs at the vet is only $26 so they aren't making much off me there but the EKG itself is $195 - luckily our insurance will pay.
I wondered if she really needed it, but since insurance pays I cannot take a chance, I want to be sure there is nothing seriously wrong and if the vet recommend it I have to trust them.
