i think that's a normal growth spurt. Archie was like 5 lbs when we got him (3 months ago) and now he's 10 lbs. And he hardly ever eats. Archie goes to his girlfriend Zelda's house next door, and there are 3 cats there and I've caught him eating dry cat food when I went to pick him up even though the neighbors INSIST that they keep him away from it. You can't really trust people, especially when my dog came home and puked. But I find that Archie generally doesn't like cat food because it's got fish in it and he hates fish. I heard somewhere though that dogs can eat cat food but cats can't eat dog food. But...cat food is really fattening to dogs because it's pure meat with loads of calories which is what makes it more appetizing for them.
