I am not sure what you are talking about or where you have 'seen' this sort of behaviour?? When I was new in Yorkies, show breeders were cautious with me but they were convinced I was ethical, I signed their contracts and lived up to them and had no problems and still don't have problems with any of them. I can approach whom I wish for a stud service or show dog if I want to.
If there is a problem with someone, there is usually a darn good reason for it and as I posted previously, if someone does something in Yorkies the whole free world knows about it and as a show breeder we will protect our dogs and our breed.
I posted on this thread in the first place because it felt to me a lot of discredit was given to show breeders. Then of course, those not involved in the show world are not going to have a hope of understanding what it is about.
