We are not having problems with Sammie, but we are taking her to a professional trainer to get her ready for her Good Citizenship certification. The trainer mentioned owners that she has worked with in the past that had the very same problems you are experiencing. We were instructed not to bring our pups the first day of the class, because she wanted to train us first. And (as you can see from some of the responses above) she stressed how important it is for us to take the lead role in the house. You MUST be the alpha/boss dog! She was successful in helping these owners break ALL the bad habits after a 6 week training course. So definitely look for a good trainer in your area and get enrolled!
