My buddy who lives german shepherds (he is very big into them, deals with importing them, eats, sleeps, dreams and well lives sheps) feed his dogs strictly bil-jac. He does all the right things for his dogs even cooks food for them. I have faith in him 100pct so I am sure it is an excellent food. He has it shipped right to his door he had 13 sheps last time we spoke, but 6 were waiting to go to new homes (puppies).
The people who bred Dixie feed eagle pack, I read its a real good food. I had to buy a bag of eagle pack dry & 6 cans for her when I got her (their rules or I'd have just gotten her nutro). I swear by Nutro, both cats & my 4 big dogs all are on nutro max. Cha Ching my siamese has a sensitive belly, vomits everything except nutro. I have been mixing Dixies eagle pack dry & canned with nutro. I was going to wean her off the eagle but after researching it it does sound like a really great food. Giving her 2 months with things as they are then will decide. May keep her on both.
If your dog likes it, is healty, hair looks good-no reason to feel guilty.
