Hi, I am a newbie to this site and a lover of animals in general. That said , I am also a breeder of Yorkies. I breed show and pet quality. I do not prefer Show quality over pet quality. They all deserve our love, respect and neurtering. EVERY animal has it's place and purpose and most pet quality Yorkies( and dogs in general) have better dispositions and health. Give me a great pet any day. I do warranty even pet quality Yorkies for 1 year on serious genetic faults( liver shunts etc., over/under bites not covered) I do not disrespect show people . As long as that dog is treated with love and respect and as part of the family, that is what matters to me. I have 8 Yorkies that all live in the house and yes at times it is a challenge ,but I told my husband of 21 years not to ever try to make me choose beteeen him and my animals because he might get disappointed. He never has. Pam and all the fur babies. PS There is no such thing as a dumb question. We all had to learn at one time. I am still learning after 20 years. If I ever get to the point I think I know it all, I will quit. |
