I shave ears starting at 3 wks. I've also found the sooner you start the better they do with it as they get older. Have you ever seen a 12 wk old or up who's never had their ears groomed? They usually totally freak out.

I take the other end of my small hand held trimmers and touch it to their rear, their hips, ect before going directly to the ear (while turned on). I think this shows them that the trimmer itself is not going to hurt them.
