i'm sure this was a VERY isolated case.. but my friend's dog died from this. he got an infection inbetween the pads of his feet.... he licked and licked.. they didn't see anything so they never brought him in and he died... he was a german shepherd... not sure if that makes a difference... it could also be an obsessive thing... layla gets like that itchying... i try and redirect what she is doing... try searching it on the internet.. let us know what you find out.
