When I told the lady no she got furious at me and told me all she wants is one healthy pup of his off spring out of the litter and she will pay to put the rest down!
I could not believe what I was hearing from her! I would not want to put a pups life in danger let alone my Daisy knowing the risk involved in her breeding with my Max, let alone anyone elses dog!
So what is y'alls take on the age in breeding? what age do you stop breeding your males, and why? My folks stopped breeding thier males after 7 years old. thanks for letting me talk it out here!
You weren't wrong....AKC says 12 years of age on a male but, it is pushing it. After that you must have a vet witness the breeding.

But, the lady's attitude would have been enough to turn me off. So, cold.....

She's your girl and you have the right to say no....after all you didn't go to her to useher stud.
