I have a Koi pond. Its 3 ft at one end and 4 ft at the other end. I have about 25 LARGE Koi (maybe more as they have babies) and we have a waterfall at one end and we run the pump non stop 24/7 year round. The top always freezes over but the water benieth stays because of the constant flow of the water. We've had it 3 years now and no fish have ever died and I'm in Michigan and its COLD !
