Its all natural.. you can start when ever you want... since your pup has no issues now... you would only want to use the gel every 3 or 4 days, but brush or finger brush everyday to get um in the swing of things.... If you ever notice any build up at all, increase to every other or every day... But you should never have a problem since your starting with clean teeth, and if you feed dry food you'll be that much further ahead of the game
