The best food for allergies is a food with a single protein and a single fiber source. The best proteins for allergies are Duck and Fish. The best fiber sources are Sweet Potatoes and Potatoes. If your dog has allergies, the very best foods that are recommended are Natural Balance Duck & Potato and Natural Balance Sweet Potato & Fish. You can get both of those at PetCo. Many dogs are allergic to what I like to call "the big 4," which are soy, corn, wheat (including barley & rye), and dairy. When a dog is fed a food that includes any of these ingredients, they also tend to develop allergies to the rest of the ingredients in the food, i.e. chicken or lamb.
