My little guy is going to be 11 years old this August, and I have learned a lot about dog food in the past 10 years. Most dog foods have issues of freshness and wholesomeness. If you switch dog foods your little one can have major tummy upset...have you ever wondered why? Here's what I do. I make my own dog food. It's a meatloaf casserole with chopped green vegies, plenty of fresh eggs, breadcrumbs I make, and ground beef. Mix it together and bake a huge batch. Cool slightly, then put daily portions into zip lock baggies and freeze all but 2. Each day I put one baggie of casserole from the frig. in the microwave for 1 minute, then let it cool. (don't forget to put one of the freezer bags into the frig, then) My little guys love it!!! I include different green vegies in each batch to offer a little vitamin variety. It doesn't cost more than the dry stuff I used to serve that they really didn't like.
