I've never used one for yorkies, but i used them for Cairn Terrier puppies & found them quite practical. They had much more room than in most crates so I could put a biggish bed at one end & food & water at the other. I stood them on a hard surface, not carpet, & lined the floor with thjick newspaper to catch any puddles, but I'm talking about litters of young puppies before they left for their new homes.
The ones I used were made of very stiff steel grid wire, similar to the strong metal crates,too thick even for wire cutters, so there was no possibility of them biting through. |
