My Sassy does that reverse sneezing thing....only my vet said it is inherent in Yorkies and it isn't reverse sneezing, but a weakened trachea. (I had a Cocker Spaniel that did the reverse sneezing thing). She does it when she gets over excited for sure but it also happens other times as well. Today I noticed when she had a pretty rough patch of it, she also pees a little tiny bit. The reason I noticed was because I had picked her up to try to calm her some. I had left for about an hour and she was as excited to see me as if I had been gone a week. The excitement brought it on. All I know to do is try to sooth her and rub her throat gently until it subsides.
