Both of my dogs have gotten bumps under the skin after they have gotten their shots. One time it was quite large so the vet had me apply warm compresses to it for about 15 minutes every couple of hours. This did seem to help it shrink in a shorter period of time. Gizmo had one that was about two inches long and about as thick as your little finger and I was really worried about it but after applying the compresses it was gone in about 3 days.
