I have a 16 year old who is also trying to decide what to do for a job since her babysitting days are about over.
I asked her to write a list of the things she likes to do...read, write, movies, clothes, drama, etc
I then told her to write her skills, experience and certifications down..typing,CPR, Babysitting, Computers, etc.
How often she can work, so it won't interfere with school and sports.
She is looking around our area for job opportunities. I told her to try and find something that would be of interest to her.
She is thinking of applying at a hospital down the street from us as a jr aide.
She is thinking about being a nurse and wants to see if this is really what she wants to do.
