Definitely not too old. As long as he's in good health I wouldn't worry about it at all. Jpop first would probably be best.

ETA: It may or may not help the aggression depending on if the aggression is testosterone related. If the aggression is over toys and resource guarding it won't help, but if it's obviously dominance, it probably will.
