My understanding is that neutering an adult dog won't help with aggression issues. You'd have to deal with those through training.

However, it will help your pup live longer. Intact dogs have a lot of health risks, among them prostate issues. There's also the risk of unwanted litters. Even if you can find homes for them, that's that many fewer homes for rescued dogs.

I shared your husband's feelings about neutering for a long time. It's a guy thing. But after researching, I really don't think you're doing your dog any favors by not neutering or spaying.
