Thank you one and all. This baby is so tender hearted. I found out just how when I was trying to get her to not bark so much. The first few few days....hardly any barking. Even when she did it was not an annoying thing. HOWEVER...one night there was a cat fight in my back yard. She went into a frenzy with that and barked the rest of the night. *sigh*
So....I decide to use something that the trainer had told me to use with another dog. I used a half pepsi can with a few coins in it, taped closed. Egad, when I shook that thing she slunk/crawled away into another room. When I called her to me, she approached me the same way, with submissive peeing. I nearly cried. I will never do that again. She is far to tenderhearted for such.
I have been able to curb her barking by saying "ah..no barking" everytime she begins to bark continuosly. It has made all the difference in the world. She is smart and got it pretty fast.
